The City of Dallas, Office of Cultural Affairs, is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill temporary part-time positions as ushers for the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Responsibilities include but are not limited to greeting patrons, facilitating direction throughout the Center, acting as safety representatives, taking tickets, inserting, distributing and consolidating programs, assisting with seating, and demonstrating knowledge of the Center. Ushers will anticipate patron needs, address concerns and incidents, and provide concise information to management per event.
Qualified applicants must have a high school education and be able to interact with the public in a pleasant manner and be able to follow directions given both verbally and in writing. Work schedules for these positions average 12-20 hours per week and will vary according to the Meyerson event calendar to include nights, weekends, holidays and some daytime.
