Target Second Saturdays are fun-filled days filled with surprises for the whole family! Each Second Saturday is unique. There may be stories in Spanish, dance and theater and performances, arts and crafts workshops and more! Please check the calendar for specific program information. Then come for an hour, or stay the whole day!

Summer Camp

The Latino Cultural Center is excited to announce its partnership with Big Thought's Thriving Minds program and Cara Mia Theatre Co. for the 2015 LCC Summer Arts Camp! The camp will take a multidisciplinary approach to examining art and culture in Dallas.

Students will be participating in theater, dance, visual art and film/photography with a final public performance at the end of the camp. Students will be provided a snack break during their time at the LCC. We ask that parents provide lunches for their students while attending the LCC summer camp.

This year Summer Camp will integrate our summer exhibit, “Maestro Filberto Chapa: Artist and Teacher, 1980-2006 and the Sour Grapes: Celebrating Fifteen Years of the Collective” with theater, visual art, dance and cinematography. Summer camp students will get to interview the artists of the summer exhibit and record them to form their own documentary type film. They will also use the material gathered from the interviews to create their own theater, dance and visual art projects that will culminate into a final performance that incorporates all artistic elements into one product.
