Visual and Performing Arts
The Latino Cultural Center hosts a wide range of multidisciplinary events for diverse audiences. Art exhibitions rotate every few months. The Oak Farms Dairy Theater hosts theater, music, and dance performances. The courtyard is often used for vibrant cultural festivals including Dieciseis de Septiembre to Las Posadas.
Target Second Saturdays
Target Second Saturdays are fun-filled days for the whole family! Each Second Saturday is unique and may include stories in Spanish, dance, theater and performance activities, arts and crafts workshops and more! Please check the calendar for specific programs. Come for an hour, or stay the whole day!
Thriving Minds After School Dance Camp
The Latino Cultural Center offers exciting after school programs in partnership with Big Thought/Thriving Minds. The 2013 After School Dance Camp will instruct students in varies Latin and contemporary dances, including hip hop, salsa and cumbia to name a few.
This dance camp is for middle school students entering the 6th, 7th, or 8th grades during the Fall of 2013.
Students will be learning different Latin dances with a final public performance at the end of the camp. Along with a variety of dance classes, students will also be taking a field trip to an art and culture center in DFW. Students will also be provided with a snack during their time at the LCC.
The LCC's After School Dance Camp will be held October 1-November 7, 2013 with a final performance on November 9, 2013, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Latino Cultural Center (2600 Live Oak, Dallas, TX 75204). The Latino Cultural Center will be accepting a limited number of applicants for this free after school program.

Both an application and parental agreement form MUST be turned in to be considered for the after school program.
