Volunteer
As a multidisciplinary arts organization, the Latino Cultural Center shares the flavor of Latino arts and culture with the Dallas community. We are always looking for energetic individuals ready to represent the LCC during special events and regular office hours.
Eligibility:

Must be self-motivated and able to complete a task in a timely manner

18years or older
-
Have an interest in Latin American Culture and Art
-
For those interested in Docent position there is mandatory training for each exhibit that must be attended as well as an interview with LCC staff

Volunteer Jobs include:
Entrance Greeter
Greets visitors/guests at the main entrance during exhibition openings or other special events. May also guide visitors to their event and answerers general questions about the Latino Cultural Center.
Docent
Gives tours of exhibitions as well as answer questions about the current art exhibition and make sure visitors are respecting the artwork on display (see eligibility requirement).
Theater Greeter/ Front of House Attendant
In charge of making sure all LCC rules are being enforced, greets guests as they come in, answers questions about the artwork in the Rotunda and Lobby. Also enforces the house rules in the performance hall.
Tour Guide
Has detailed knowledge about the Latino Cultural Center to give a good presentation to visitors about the facility. Guide is trained by LCC staff on the Cultural Center's and points of interest.
PR/ Media Aid
Responsible for promoting LCC events, spreading the word about special events and current exhibits, and gathering media clips related to LCC.
Back Stage Manager
The responsibilities and duties of stage management vary depending on the setting of a production (i.e. rehearsals or performance, and the type of production being presented: theater, dance, or music).
Lighting Aid
Aids the Technical coordinator in either the spotlight booth or sound booth during a performance.
Sound Board Aids
Aids the Technical Coordinator in the sound booth helping with sound cues and effects.
