Due to citywide budget reductions, the Cultural Tourism Initiative is not available for
 the 2009-2010 fiscal year.

This program supports cultural projects that make Dallas a more attractive destination for cultural tourists (one of the fastest growing segments of the tourism field). The guidelines for an open application process to award the CTI contracts were first introduced in FY 06-07, making the process competitive and in line with the other contract categories.
