In August of 1981, the citizens of Dallas
celebrated the birth of the City's first neighborhood cultural
center...The Bath House Cultural Center.
The Bath House Cultural Center houses a
120-seat theatre, two gallery spaces, and a number of multiple
mixed use spaces. Diversity flourishes as visual and performing
artists from an array of backgrounds and disciplines find
a welcoming venue for their work.
The Bath House Cultural Center theatre space
is home to professional and community productions by some
of Dallas' finest theatre companies. The annual Festival of
Independent Theatres brings together these diverse theatre
groups to present a month-long eclectic repertory of new,
original, avant-garde and rarely seen works.
The intimate setting of the performance
space is the perfect place for concerts ranging from jazz
to classical, ethnic, and world music.
Literature and poetry readings, modern and
classical dance, and innovative multidisciplinary performance
pieces add to the Center's dynamic and extensive schedule.
Each weekend there is something interesting
and exciting to see at the Bath House Cultural Center.
