Neighborhood Touring Program (NTP) - provides funding to ethnic and culturally specific
artists/organizations to present and preserve unique art forms.
Leadership Exchange and Advancement Program (LEAP) - offers management and technical assistance
opportunities for artists and organizations; and a facilities
reimbursement program to access performance/rehearsal space.
Cultural Tourism Initiative - Project funding that focuses on linking arts and cultural organizations and events with the tourism market. Dallas-based arts and cultural organizations may apply for projects that encourage cultural tourism and make a quantifiable impact to Dallas' arts, culture and tourism economies. Projects can be as varied as hosting a blockbuster exhibition, packaging a tour focused on particular aspects of Dallas' culture, or developing printed or electronic publications geared to the tourism market, etc.
Funding Review Panels
Most program applications are reviewed by a panel whose membership is
taken from a list of qualified candidates nominated by the field and
approved by the Cultural Affairs Commission. Panel nominations are
accepted throughout the year.
